A panel discussion was conducted among key stakeholders working with and supporting Women with Disabilities (WWDs) under the Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) Project, funded by UNFPA.
The discussion provided a platform for stakeholders to share experiences, identify challenges, and discuss practical approaches to preventing and responding to SGBV against women with disabilities. Particular attention was given to the vulnerabilities and barriers faced by WWDs in accessing protection, support, justice, and essential services.
Participants discussed the importance of strengthening referral mechanisms, improving access to information and support services, promoting the rights and dignity of WWDs, and ensuring their meaningful participation in SGBV prevention and response initiatives.
The panel discussion strengthened collaboration among stakeholders and contributed to promoting a more inclusive, accessible, and protective environment for women with disabilities.
