SRH Training Strengthens Teachers’ Capacity to Support Students

June 19, 2021

Teachers from the piloted schools participate in a Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) training conducted at Addis Ketema Preparatory School. The training was organized to strengthen teachers’ knowledge and capacity to provide accurate, age-appropriate SRH information and support to students.

The training covered key issues related to sexual and reproductive health, adolescent health and well-being, communication, prevention, and appropriate referral and support mechanisms. It also provided teachers with practical approaches for creating a safe and supportive school environment where students can seek reliable information and guidance.

By strengthening the capacity of teachers, SYGE, as an NGO, aims to ensure that students in the piloted schools have improved access to accurate SRH information and appropriate support. The activity contributes to promoting informed decision-making, healthy behaviors, and the overall well-being of adolescents and young people.
