Addis Ababa, Ethiopia — Save Your Generation Ethiopia (SYGE), an NGO working to promote healthy and safe learning environments, conducted a training on school environment sanitation to strengthen awareness and practical knowledge among school communities.
The training focused on the importance of maintaining clean and hygienic school environments, proper waste management, hand hygiene, sanitation facilities, and shared responsibility for keeping schools safe and healthy.
Participants were encouraged to adopt positive sanitation practices and take an active role in maintaining cleanliness within classrooms, compounds, and other school facilities. The session also highlighted how good sanitation practices can contribute to student wellbeing and a better learning environment.
Through sanitation awareness and capacity-building activities, SYGE continues to support schools in promoting healthy behaviors, environmental cleanliness, and safe learning spaces for children and young people.
