Bahir Dar, Ethiopia — Save Your Generation Ethiopia (SYGE), an NGO working to empower young people and promote safe and supportive communities, conducted Peer Educator and Life Skills Sessions in Bahir Dar.
The sessions focused on strengthening young people’s knowledge, confidence, communication, and decision-making skills. Participants were encouraged to share experiences, discuss challenges affecting their peers, and develop practical skills for making responsible and healthy choices.
The peer educator component emphasized the important role young people can play in supporting and educating their peers. Through interactive discussions and group activities, participants explored positive peer relationships, effective communication, problem-solving, self-awareness, and ways of responding to peer pressure.
The initiative reflects SYGE’s continued commitment to youth empowerment, life skills development, and peer-led awareness, helping young people become positive role models and active contributors to their schools and communities.
