A Training of Trainers (TOT) on drug and substance abuse prevention was conducted at Yetebaberut School to strengthen the knowledge and capacity of participants to address substance abuse among students and young people.
The training provided participants with practical knowledge on the risks and impacts of drug and substance abuse, prevention strategies, early identification of risk factors, and effective awareness-raising approaches. Participants were also equipped with skills to share prevention messages with their peers and wider school communities.
The activity aims to strengthen school-based prevention efforts and promote healthy, informed decision-making among young people. Through trained participants serving as resource persons and peer educators, the initiative seeks to extend awareness and prevention messages beyond the training room and contribute to safer and healthier school environments.
