Students participate in a school-based Life Skills Training conducted under the project “Preventing and Responding to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, Including Harmful Traditional Practices (HTPs), in Ethiopia,” funded by UNFPA.
The training provides students with practical knowledge and skills to better understand, prevent, and respond to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and harmful traditional practices. Through interactive learning, students are encouraged to develop positive decision-making, communication, problem-solving, self-confidence, and peer-support skills.
The school-based training also promotes gender equality, respectful relationships, personal safety, and awareness of available support and reporting mechanisms. By equipping young people with these skills, the project contributes to creating safer and more inclusive schools and communities.
